Farm holidays in South Tyrol — high above the Valle dell’ Adige

Our Moarhof stands in Salonetto, a hamlet of Meltina, high above the Valle dell’ Adige. Bolzano and Merano are both within easy reach, yet up here you hear cowbells rather than traffic. That mix is what a farm holiday in South Tyrol looks like with us: close enough to everything you want to see, far enough from everything you came to get away from.

You stay in one of our four apartments with a view over the valley. Breakfast comes with homemade jams made from Moarhof berries, and if you book half board, Waltraud’s 3-course surprise menu is waiting for you in the evening. In between there is time for everything a farm has to offer: watching Luis milk the cows, picking something in the herb garden, warming up in the Finnish sauna.

And when you want to head out, you do not need to get in the car first: the hiking trails start right outside the door — the Köfeleweg, for instance, or the climb up to the Möltner Kaser. Whether you come as a couple or with the whole family, a farm holiday in South Tyrol is not an item on a programme here; it is an everyday life you get to share for a week.
